| Tony posted his first career win in the Winston Cup and has proven himself to be a formidable opponent. | ||

| NASCAR Controversy- The controversial last lap spin of Terry Labonte at Bristol at the hands of Dale Earnhardt lives on, at least in my neck of the woods it does. | ||
| When Terry was spun near the end of the race it was obvious that he wasn't pleased. He was on his way to winning or posting a great finish. After taking on 4 tires he entered the track with a vengence. Nothing would stop him from taking checkers at Bristol. Enter Dale Earnhardt. In a post race interview Dale said "I wasn't trying to turn him around I just wanted to rattle his cage a little". I don't know exactly what that means except that when racing expect the unexpected. The high banks of Bristol are notorious for tight panel to panel racing and lots of action, surely only the strong will survive. | ||
